Half-life is the time it takes for the amount in the body to fall by half. It is a pharmacology figure drawn from public sources, and it describes the compound rather than telling anyone what to do with it.
What Semaglutide is
A GLP-1 receptor agonist, acylated for albumin binding and DPP-4 resistance, studied for glycemic control in type 2 diabetes and for weight management. Its long half-life supports once-weekly administration.
Why half-life is not a schedule
A half-life describes how quickly the body clears a compound. It is a property of the molecule, measured and published. It is not an instruction, and it does not by itself determine how often anyone should take anything. Dosing intervals in an approved product are set by trials and by a label, not by arithmetic on a half-life, and for compounds with no approved label there is no such interval to state at all.
